The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA) is thrilled to join the nationwide celebration of National Arts in Education Week, September 14 – 20, 2025. This annual recognition shines a spotlight on the vital role the Arts play in shaping well-rounded, creative, and confident students.
Arts Education is more than just a program at the CAA — it is the founding cornerstone of our organization. Since our earliest days, we have been dedicated to ensuring that young people in Walton County have access to the transformative power of the arts. From hands-on learning to performance opportunities, arts education has been at the heart of everything we do, inspiring both students and teachers to imagine more, connect more deeply, and grow through creative expression.
Here in Walton County, we know firsthand how much our teachers do to nurture creativity every single day. From music and visual art to the performing arts, literary expression, and even culinary arts, educators are finding meaningful ways to integrate the arts into their classrooms and curricula. These experiences don’t just enrich learning — they build confidence, empathy, and lifelong skills.
That’s why we want to celebrate the Arts educators who make a difference in our community. Whether they teach in the school district, guide homeschool learners, or work with nonprofit organizations, these teachers deserve to be recognized and celebrated.
We invite you to nominate an outstanding teacher you know — or even nominate yourself! Tell us how this educator is using the arts to spark creativity and inspire students.
Selected teachers will be featured in a special CAA email and social media campaign during Arts in Education Week, where we’ll share their stories with the community and shine a light on their impact. One teacher will be chosen as the CAA’s 2025 Arts Educator of the Year.
The 2024 Arts Educator Award was given to Seaside Neighborhood School Music Teacher Balder Saunders.
📅 Nomination Deadline: Friday, September 12 at 5 p.m. CST

Together, let’s honor the educators who keep the arts alive in our classrooms and beyond — continuing the mission that has been at the very heart of the CAA since its beginning.
