The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA) is thrilled to announce Clay for a Cause: Mugs for Jugs, a creative, community-driven fundraiser set for Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 5–7 p.m. at Point Washington Medical Clinic (1321 N. County Hwy 395).
Timed to honor both National Arts & Humanities Month and Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the lively evening will blend art, music, and philanthropy in one meaningful celebration. Guests will be greeted by the soulful sounds of local favorite Sammi Accola while enjoying a variety of delicious culinary offerings from Down Island Gulf Seafood Restaurant, Iron & Grape, Sunset Slice & Scoop, and other generous culinary partners soon to be announced.
Handcrafted ceramic mugs, thoughtfully created by local artisans, will be available for purchase, inviting attendees to take home a tangible piece of the evening’s spirit.
Adding a distinctive creative element, CAA Pottery Studio members Chase Bailey, Dayle Binder, Sarah Bumanglag, Nancy Clayton, Stephanie Gleason, Brittany Godbee, Jenny Guerra, Ann Gwin, Cathy Quiqley, Deb Ward, and Lead Instructor Jessica Batson have handcrafted specialty drinkware exclusively for the silent auction. The collection also features bisque-fired sets custom-painted by celebrated artists Allison Wickey and Lindsay Tobias. Each one-of-a-kind piece highlights the remarkable talent within our community and will be available for bidding during the event.
Guests will also have the unique opportunity to experience the newest Foster Gallery Outreach Exhibit in the Clinic’s lobby, featuring striking fiber art by Nicole Hemmerly. Throughout the evening, attendees can tour the Clinic and explore an inspiring collection of 2D and 3D works by local artists, large-scale murals, and an exterior sculpture — all made possible through the cross-sector partnership between PWMC and the CAA’s Art in Public Spaces program. This collaboration enhances the beauty of the Clinic’s facility while celebrating local creativity and the healing power of art.
PWMC Co-Founder and Executive Director Hillary Glenn shared, "As a clinic that operates 'by the community for the community,' this support from the Mugs for Jugs fundraiser is vital in helping us continue providing accessible medical care to our neighbors. What excites me most is seeing our community come together in such a creative way – events like this foster awareness, bring people together, and strengthen the connections that ultimately enhance overall community health, which is at the heart of our mission."
“Mugs for Jugs is a perfect example of how art can bring people together for good,” said Jennifer Steele, CAA President & CEO. “We’re combining creativity, community spirit, and a cause that touches so many lives. Guests will leave with a beautiful, meaningful piece of art—and the knowledge that they’ve helped strengthen both healthcare and arts access in Walton County.”
Since opening in 2019, the CAA Pottery Studio has evolved from just two wheels and a kiln into a thriving hub for 3D arts education, now boasting ten wheels, specialized equipment, monthly classes, specialty workshops, live demonstrations, and an Open Studio program that serves the broader community. The growth reflects the CAA’s commitment to fostering creativity and meeting the growing demand for hands-on arts experiences.
