Sandra Horne is a professional full-time Northwest Florida artist. She has been creating traditional fine art oil paintings since 1972 and is a third-generation artist. She grew up in Georgia, where she majored in art in college, and later married into the military lifestyle which gave her the opportunity to travel. While raising her children she continued painting, presenting her paintings in galleries, entering art shows and winning numerous awards including many Best in Show and People’s Choice awards. She also worked as a graphic designer for many years. Her husband’s retirement to the Gulf Coast provided an irresistible location to paint and to gain confidence by staying involved in organizational activities and teaching classes. She continues to devote her time and energy to painting and is determined to always seek advantages to share her work with others.
