LIZA SNYDER

Liza Snyder, born in Mobile, Alabama, and raised in St. Simons Island, Georgia, considered herself an artist at an early age. After studying printmaking and obtaining a BFA from Auburn University in 2001, Liza put down creating for a long season. A friend’s urging and a personal awakening allowed her art to reemerge. Today, her paintings, drawings, and prints are distinguished by vibrant color, organic shape, and contour line. Liza’s hope is that her creations invite the viewer to both joy and contemplation. Liza is in studio most days creating and “playing.” She also enjoys teaching and journeying with others through their creative endeavors. Children’s art camps, lessons and women’s workshops in the studio allow Liza to share her love of “making.” Life is colorful and chaotic, and her personal works express this. The artist’s home and studio are located on the Choctawhatchee Bay, just north of Scenic Highway 30-A in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
