Murals That Tell a Story
Each mural featured on the interactive map represents a unique collaboration between artists, organizations, and the community. Highlights include:
Large-Scale Community MuralsAt the Walton County Fairgrounds in DeFuniak Springs, a striking 72-foot-wide mural by local artist Sarah Page celebrates the region’s rich agricultural heritage and vibrant creative spirit. Created in honor of the fair’s Centennial Celebration, the piece serves as a colorful backdrop for events and a tribute to a long-standing community tradition.
Interactive Public Art InstallationsInternationally renowned street artist Kelsey Montague has brought her signature, larger-than-life “wing” murals to Walton County, including installations at Watersound® Town Center and the Grayton Beach Central Parking Facility. Designed to invite participation, these works encourage viewers to step in, take photos, and become part of the art—sparking connection through the global #WhatLiftsYou movement.
Hwy 98 Underpass Mural ProjectTransforming a vital gateway into an immersive art experience, this landmark installation features 10 original murals by local artists lining the 136-foot-long pedestrian underpass at U.S. Highway 98 and County Highway 30A in Inlet Beach.
