Instructor Bio:

Kathleen Broaderick has been a resident of the beautiful Emerald Coast of Florida for the past 22 years but she began her artistic journey during her last semester at Florida State University as a Communications major. She decided to fill an extra elective slot in her schedule with a watercolor class and never looked back. After raising two children and teaching elementary school, she has turned her longtime passion into a career.

Instead of perfectly representing exact details and color of her subject, she paints to capture an impression and evoke deep and true emotions from within the viewer. CHROMA Studio & Gallery allows her to combine her art studio and love of teaching in one place. Kathleen is honored to be South Walton’s 2018 Artist of the Year as well as a CAA Member Artist, regularly featured artist at The Foster Gallery, and an instructor for the CAA’s Digital Creative Campus.
