Eco-Printing a Silk Sash with Botanicals and Foliage

Perfectly timed to take advantage of the beautiful fall weather, this immersive workshop will take place in our cozy Bayou Arts Center Courtyard (weather permitting). Your finished scarf can be enjoyed as a one-of-a-kind piece—worn as a shawl or around your neck, framed as a unique two-dimensional work of art, or given as a thoughtful handmade gift for the holidays.

In this class, you’ll learn the art of Eco-Printing with local fiber artist Sydni Gause. Using botanicals and foliage that have been locally grown and foraged, you’ll create a stunning 10" x 60" silk scarf that captures the rich colors and patterns of nature.
