Originally trained as a portrait artist, I discovered a love for Plein Air Painting. I grew up in Florida and love beaches, bayous and water. My favorite places are the slightly wild, untamed beaches and bays around the world. Recently I have gone full circle, back to my roots to include Impressionist portraits and Abstract figurative paintings in my work.

Like many artists back in the 60's, I was discouraged from majoring in art, but I followed my passion and have enjoyed teaching in public schools and colleges. I am currently an adjunct Drawing and Painting instructor for the Continuing Education Program at Northwest Florida State College.

I live and work from my studio on the bay in NW Florida along with my husband, daughter, a cat named Zsa Zsa Gabor Overholt, and two dogs, B'Aire and Flora Mae.
