Estelle Grengs

Estelle Grengs is a New England native, born and raised in the quintessential town of Dover, New Hampshire. Her love for art was sparked and encouraged at a very young age. As a self-taught artist, she attributes her gut instincts and color combinations to her unique style.
Shortly after graduating high school, Estelle met her husband Matt who was in the Air Force. Over the next 28 years, they were stationed in Germany, Italy, South Korea, and several stateside locations adding breadth and culture to her portfolio.

After several years of serving in the military, Estelle and Matt chose Freeport, Florida as their forever home. Her love of the ocean and coastal subject matter are a perfect fit for her colorful and lively artwork.

Estelle’s popularity has grown since being selected as the 2018 poster winner for her painting as well as the “People Choice Award” for the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation Festival. She is the featured cover artist on Newman and Daily’s Where You’d Rather Be magazine which is distributed along the Florida Gulf Coast, Georgia and Alabama and is a highlighted artist for the Watersound Origins Sidewalk Art Display.

Recently, for the second time, Estelle’s artwork, “Sailor’s Delight” has been chosen as the Mattie Kelly Poster contest Winner for 2020. She was also selected to show her artwork in The Foster Gallery.

Estelle’s other noteworthy accomplishments include being a featured artist for the Destin Banner Project and a featured guest speaker for the Art and Design Society of Fort Walton Beach.

Lastly Estelle has volunteered her talents by donating her art and time to help raise funds for the local agencies such as the Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center, The Treehouse Episcopal Montessori School Santa Rosa Beach, Seaside Florida Elementary School, Military Resiliency Events, Taylor Haugen Foundation, and the Emerald Coast Science Center.
