One Size Fits All Call To Artists

The Cultural Arts Alliance (CAA) Visual Arts Committee is calling artists for the popular annual installment of the “One Size Fits All” Show, which will be on display at the Foster Gallery from December 7, 2017 – January 6, 2018.

This is not a juried show so all artwork that is original, finished, of high quality and in good taste will be included to encourage and inspire artistic expression. Participants are invited to think outside the box and utilize any medium such as paper, glass, beads and textiles, as long as that medium doesn’t extend an inch or more beyond the edges of the panel. 10 x 10 stretched canvases are allowed as long as they are 1.5″. 

10 x 10 square wood panels are available for purchase through the CAA. Panels will be available for $10 each and can be purchased in person at the Bayou Arts Center between 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Cash (exact amount appreciated), Check or Charge is accepted.

 

Purchase of Panels

Dates: Now through December 3, 2017 (or until sold out as supplies are limited).

Time: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Cash, Check or Credit Accepted.

 

Finishing & Wiring

*Panels must be mounted with D-rings or eye hooks on the back, 2″ inches below the uppermost edge.  Braided picture wire must then be attached tautly between the two rings/hooks.

 

*Sawtooth hangers will not be accepted.

 

*Depending on the medium, please be aware that the wood panels may require prepping and priming.

 

*Edges of panels must be painted or finished in a manner that doesn’t require framing.

 

Delivery of Art

Finished and dry artwork can be delivered to The Foster Gallery during business hours through December 3, 2017.

 

Foster Gallery Hours of Operation

Sunday11 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Monday – Saturday: 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.

 

*Must complete and bring Artist Agreement (provided at time of panel purchase)

*All work must have an artist tag attached to the back lower right of the piece (tag provided at time of panel purchase).

 

*Only 2 panels may be exhibited at a time in the OSFA show.  If one piece from an artist sells, that artist may bring in a replacement piece.

 

*Finished panels will sell for $125. The artist will receive $100 from the sale, and the CAA will retain $25. Checks will be mailed to artist within two weeks of sale.

RSVP is required as space is limited. Attendance is not mandatory, but encouraged.

Saturday, January 6, 2018 between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

 

*Please write the pick up date on your calendar as art left at the gallery past Saturday, January 6, 2018 will become the property of the CAA.
