We all find inspiration from different places. Joey (Josann, but please call her Joey) gets her inspiration from nature. Being lucky enough to bounce from the Emerald Coast of Florida to the mountains of Breckenridge, Colorado, she has a lot of incredible subject matter. She sees how light and shadow change across the mountains and the sand, depending on weather, time of day and time of year. She can look at the same peak or the same stretch of beach and every time she sees new shapes, new colors, and new inspiration.

Not that she ever stays in one place for long— Joey has taken painting workshops and shot photography across the country and in Europe. She focuses primarily on watercolor painting, following in her architect/painter father’s footsteps, but also loves photography and trying new techniques.
