I grew up running barefoot along the dirt roads and through the fields and forests that covered the rolling hills of my parents’ farm in southern Montgomery County, Alabama. It was there that I fell in love with nature and all its wonders.

As an artist I draw inspiration from the beautiful natural world that surrounds us. Highly fluid mediums such as fluid acrylics, acrylic pouring and resin capture nature’s organic essence perfectly. These mediums can be a bit unpredictable and ever-changing. The pigments collaborate and intertwine their own narrative as they flow. Look past the initial image to a hundred small vignettes that in their own complexities are mesmerizing. Each is completely cohesive to the overall collaboration of the end composition. Within the layers you will find gestures of movement, drips, smudges and all that expose a piece’s struggles from start to finish.

Often my works are abstractly rendered, offering and opportunity for the viewer to participate. Engage and discover with me the magical beauty that science and fluid acrylics create!
