Artist Jason Lindbladʼs pen and ink illustrations draw you in with their beauty and delicate details. An exciting blend of Art Nouveau, Art Deco, fashion and symbolic imagery, they are both fresh and nostalgic at the same time.
Jason begins each drawing with a focus on the human figure. He listens to contemporary music for inspiration and draws from his love for vintage fashion, Art Deco, and theatre to create inspiring and original works of art. He limits the use of color in his work, relying instead on detailed line work and exciting patterns. Jason loves the reflective quality of metallics and uses them to echo the beauty of the gilded age of fashion.
A student of art since he was 5 years old, Jason has worked with many different mediums. Born and raised in Paducah, KY- after high school, he attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where he focused on graphic design and then fiber and materials. Later on, he continued his studies at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, where he developed and deepened his love for illustration.
Currently located in Destin, FL, JLeon Studios focuses on contemporary fashion and pop culture imagery and illustrations- with an artistic process that combines both traditional drawing techniques and digital media. Inspirations come from the Art Deco period, theatre, fashion illustration, electronic music, dance, and fantasy.
