Join us for this new workshop & exciting collaboration with Beachy Blooms & Sun Up Ceramics! This workshop includes two sessions, one with each artist. 

Vase Building Workshop-

In this session you will learn with Sun Up Ceramics, how to create a vase with pre-rolled slabs of clay. You will achieve a fun and playful form in just a few simple steps. Instruction from this workshop includes how to roll out slabs, how to construct a vase, sealing seams, and decorating techniques. Remember to trim nails and wear clothing you don’t mind getting messy. The instructor will cover the finishing process of vases, which includes bisque firing, glazing, and glaze firing. Keep in mind this process takes a few weeks. Finished vases will be ready in the studio when you come to craft your arrangement. 

Floral Arrangement Workshop-

Jane Denton, founder of Beachy Blooms will help you create the perfect arrangement for your vase.  Offering a variety of textures, colors and unique blooms.  She will guide you with ideas and tips to help make your arrangement uniquely you!!

Class dates: Apr. 5th (Vase Making) and Apr. 26th (Floral Arranging)  *no make up classes available

Instructor Bios:

Courtney is a mother and artist native to the Emerald Coast. She is a mostly self taught ceramicist who began working with clay in 2013. First introduced in a college course, she quickly fell in love and has continued practicing since. From 2016-2019 she worked with clay in her spare time at the Arts & Design Society, in Fort Walton Beach, FL. In 2019-2020 she began a mentorship with local artist & ceramicist, Mercedes Rogers. Here she learned the ins & outs of working with clay for a living and running a home studio. She has been creating out of her own home studio since. She has a passion for wheel throwing and hand building to create functional ware.

Owner and founder Jane Denton started Beachy Blooms, 30A's first flower truck in October of 2018 to follow her passion for flowers & connecting with people along the Emerald Coast. "Everyone loves fresh flowers", says Jane, "and it's even better when a bouquet is picked by you to fit your personal taste and budget."
