Join Nancy for 4 sessions of beginner wheel throwing. In the first two sessions, the fundamentals of centering, opening, and pulling will be covered and practiced. You should have approximately 2-5 pieces to finish. The third session will be trimming and decorating followed by glazing in the fourth session. Extra time is required between trimming and glazing for pieces to be bisque fired before glazing. Following the final glaze firing you will be notified when your pieces are ready for pick up. 

Please plan to attend all four sessions as there will be no makeup days. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a towel.

Class time: 9 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

*Please note if the class minimum is not met 48 hours in advance, the class will be canceled and registered students refunded.

Instructor Bio:

As a retired educator, Nancy chose ceramics as a hobby. Learning from fellow potters, she has discovered wheel throwing as well as hand building as creative non-stressful outlets. Sharing ideas and learning from others have fueled her creative freedom. Originally from Georgia, Nancy has made this area her permanent home.
