Enjoy getting your hands dirty as you create functional pieces of pottery. Join Nancy Claxton and learn the fundamental techniques such as centering, opening, pulling, trimming, decorating, and glazing. Two classes will be spent making your pieces. One class will be trimming and the final class will be glazing. Between trimming and glazing, pieces will dry and be bisque fired. After glazing, pieces will be fired again. You will be notified when your creations are ready to pick up. This class is available for beginners ages 18+ with or without prior experience. No makeup days are available for missed classes.

Class dates: November 1st, 2nd, 7th, and 14th

Class time: 4 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Minimum Class Size: 1*

Maxiumum Class Size: 3

Prior to retiring from a teaching career, Nancy knew she would need a creative hobby. Ceramics appealed to her due to its calming freedom to create without the pressure of perfection. Nancy and her husband have lived in the area for 5 years after moving from Georgia.
