Beginning Rug Hooking is a series of three classes in which students will learn the basics of rug hooking to include fundamental principles and concepts that allow each student to understand and create a hooked product. This class will practice pulling loops on a 12" x 12" pattern designed by the instructor which encourages a variety of basic techniques. We will utilize a variety of wools and/or other fibers to achieve the essence of the design. Students will also learn about equipment and tools utilized for rug hooking.

About the instructor: Capri Boyle Jones enjoys the diversity and possibilities of rug hooking. Encouraging each student to develop vision for the desired end result while enjoying the process. She is experienced in and teaches a wide variety of styles in open classes and focused studies. She has been developing her art in fiber thru hooking, designing, dyeing since 1991. Her personal style is painterly, focusing on the use of light and color utilizing all size cuts.

Capri teaches nationally at workshops, for guilds and in her home studio.
