My wish would be this
That I’d be there with you,
But wishes seldom come true.
Cause while I’m locked behind these bars,
You’re out free as the stars.
In your eyes I’m nothing but trash
But I’m right here to ask,
Do I have a chance to be forgiven?

Think back in your mind
When you committed your first crime.
It could have been hitting your sister or brother.
It could have been lying to your mother.
You were punished but they did forgive.
So why can’t I have a chance to live,
Free from sorrow, free from pain.
I know it’s asking too much, but just the same,
Do I have a chance to be forgiven?
