Joey finds her inspiration from nature, as she has the pleasure of painting in Breckenridge, CO in the summers, and the rest of the year in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. Landscapes and seascapes are always changing. The same mountains or stretch of beach can have such different light and shadows, depending on the month or time of day.  And all is seen so well doing plein air painting. Joey focuses mainly on watercolors, having done workshops in Indiana, Colorado, Florida, Maine, England, and Tuscany. She had her own show last November, as part of the Art in Public Places, at the Coastal Branch Library.
