I knew I wanted to be an artist when I was 5, by watching my grandmother paint from her porch. Even though she used to say she wasn’t very good, the experience inspired me to be an artist. In my memory, I return to her porch every day when I enter my own studio.
After high school, my parents begged me to pursue an art education. Instead I spent the next 30 years raising my children. My art training has consisted of college classes and numerous art workshops. I’ve benefited from many capable mentors, and my family has provided great support and inspiration.
