About the Bayou Arts Center

The Bayou Arts Center is the home of the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County and a venue for art exhibits, art workshops, meetings, reunions and small events.  

Nestled among the long leaf pines on historic Hogtown Bayou, the Bayou Arts Center is a true Walton County hidden gem and a peaceful destination for art, culture, heritage and nature.

While the CAA keeps the facility very busy with our ongoing workshops and programs for artists, the Bayou Arts Center is available to rent on a half-day or full-day basis.

The CAA can also help facilitate art workshops for your group in almost any art medium (watercolor, pastels, basket weaving, fiber, drawing, photography, you name it)!

The Facility

The Bayou Arts Center includes CAA offices, the Cypress Room Gallery, the Studio, a full industrial kitchen, three restrooms, nature trails leading to Hogtown Bayou, wrap-around porches overlooking a lush courtyard, 36 parking spaces with disabled parking and access, St. Francis Chapel and wildlife cemetery, and a rocking chair back porch with a view of Hogtown Bayou.

Exhibits

Rotating exhibits by local and national artists curated by the CAA are featured in the Studio and the Cypress Room, and the St. Francis Chapel features a 360 degree folk-life mural.  Exhibits can be viewed by the public Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm.  The Bayou Arts Center is open to the public at no charge.
